Esteljhi
Esteljhi is one of six elven factions of the Elven Alliance. It lies on the western coast of Durarin and is an important faction managing the international trade and diplomacy of the alliance. The elven population of Esteljhi is a good mix of Highelves, Woodelves, and other Sylvans.
Geography
The river Celecelon defines the borders of Esteljhi with the factions Casduin and Horumasto. The northern part of the mountain range is known to be the border to Aendari. The capital of the faction, Cafalune lies in the valley of Rothaoro. The faction measures about 50.000 square miles.Climate
Esteljhi is located in the temperate climate zone. Temperatures reach from 4°C in winters to 28°C in summers. Similar to all other elven factions, the weather in Esteljhi is influenced by magic. It has rather high precipitation, allowing large forests to grow.Vegetation
The flora and fauna in Esteljhi are very rich and diverse. Especially wild animals living in the woods reach outstanding numbers. On the other hand, grazing animals and domesticated farm animals are rather rare. The population of Esteljhi especially woodelves takes special care to preserve the forest and nature. The mountains Rothaoro are also home to many mountain and hill-loving animals and plants.Politics
Esteljhi is reigned by 4 aristocratic families. Each family claims a seat in the Elven Alliance. Instead of assigning different tasks to different families, the aristocrats just take over governmental tasks and decide on laws and who to put up to solve specialized tasks. The right to rule over Estljhi is inherited and can not leave the noble bloodline. In case of extinction of a noble family, the name is removed from the government and is not replaced. The flag of Esteljhi is a very classical elven flag. It shows a green leaf or bud on a green background. This flag was chosen for Esteljhi for representation purposes since Esteljhi is the leading faction when it comes to international relationships and trades.
