Espin
Worshippers of the Sun and Stars
The Espin, sometimes called Espinites, were one of the tribes of the Larsam , a people who explored and settlied "the lands to the east of Lake Lipit, called the Larsnu Plains." The plains were described as a grassing tundra with great herds of horses, of which the Larsam hunted for food.
The Espin settled in the hills on the eastern side of the plains, what most believe to be the Espin Peninsula today. These people, in the era of ice of the Randagri Period seemed to have an obsession with the Uatu, the sun, and the warmth it could provide. Surviving cave art found on the Espin Peninsula, believed to be from this culture indicates a sun cult formed early in their history. These pictographs imply the Espin believed the sun to be the home of the creator of the world, most likely referencing Alu. Later their culture would evolve to see the Uatu itself as the god creator of Aldern.
Though this religion and worship of the sun the Espin began understanding some of the fundamentals of Magic and its source being the sun and stars in the form of Solanon. Through their understanding, though primitive, led them to reinvent nura orbs, what they called Uatu orbs or Sun orbs.
