Council of Axion

Synodos tes Akion

The Council of Axion was a series of several councils of Trijan Bishop​s that convened in the fortress city of Axion in western Slavyum. The first of these councils meet in 5325sc. This ecumenical councils were gathered in an effort to attain a unification of the many independent churches and temples that had sprang up in the early Lakorthian Age around the relatively young faith. A dozen councils over as many years followed the first and would establish the Church as an organized religion of Aldern. Little is accomplished in the first council beyond agreements over fundamentals of the faith, such as the divinity of Alu. Despite this, it is the first council that is considered the founding date of the Church in the history books. Many theologians would argue that later, or even the last council would be better candidates for this as more is accomplished.

Its main accomplishment of the First Council of Axion is the assembly of the Sacred Codex. The council creates this by taking the documents of all major churches of the faith. First finding those texts that are used unanimously by all church and then narrowing the list down to the fundamentals all bishops agree to be included into a single sacred text to be used for teaching and spiritual growth.
