Clan Blackaxe
Anquestra Keph
The Blackaxe clan is a young clan of Dwarf. The five hundred plus dwarves that make up the clan, however, have a long history of unity. This group of dwarves were, up until recently, generational slaves of the Juhl'are of Zith Morra. While much of their history is lost, it is believed that they are descendants of dwarven prisoners of war from ancient battles between the Kephic Empire and Mya Juhl Mair. Their retaining and using the lost dwarvish language of Poho (Poe Dwarvish) lend credence that their origins might be from the Dwarves of Poe. However, there are a mix of other dwarves among the slaves, descended from captured dwarves over the ages.
Once their existence was discovered, working as slaves in the dark elf farms below Zith Morra, they were rescued by Clan Goldhammer and Human adventures from Toemanshire. Instead of joining their kin as Goldhammers, the tight bond of generational slavery led to the freed dwarves petitioning and creating their own clan of Blackaxe. In this they joined the Goldhammers in the kingdom of Dylfinkyn.
Today, the majority of the Blackaxe dwell in Doth Morcan, rebuilding the ruined city. Few know anything beyond the slave pens of Zith Morra, and its Underdeep farms. The Goldhammers are dedicated to teaching these dwarves their shared history, combat, and other skills these people and their children will need for their new lives.
