In A404, following the assassination of Leotholden, the acting Chosen of the Church and a Founding Guild Council Member, the Church of the Devout made an unprecedented gesture. An Order of the Silent Vigil Battle Angel was gifted to Guildmaster Elara Wolfsong, assigned as her personal protector. Elara, however, did not see this as an honor. She suspected the Church itself had orchestrated Leotholden’s death, and the arrival of the Angel only deepened her unease. Refusing the gift could strain the already tenuous relationship between the Guild and the faith. The Battle Angel can be found close to Guildmaster Elara Wolfsong at all times, lending an aura of silent power that only amplifies the Guildmaster's own commanding presence. Over the years Elara has remained vigilant but has grown fond of the respect The Battle Angel demands from her subordinates. Though rarely given direct orders, the Battle Angel is sometimes sent on important Guild assignments. Though offered full membership, she refused to take the Guild Oath and was instead made an honorary member of the Guild of Heroes. Among the Guild, rumors abound regarding the stoic warrior. Clerics of the Guild often whisper prayers in her presence, as if sensing something divine—or dreadful—about her. The Heroes often engage in a playful challenge to provoke even the smallest reaction from her, but so far, none have succeeded. However, Cesar swears he caught the Battle Angel in a rare moment of tenderness, petting his war dog, Dominius. No one else was present to confirm the claim, and many doubt it, but the story circulates among the Guild’s ranks.Relationships
