Asphodel
Cardinal Ammon Entrail, Asphodel
Asphodel is a high ranking member of the Holy Union of the Cross-vein Ore and a central figure throughout the land of Albanos. They are remembered for becoming more reliant on machinery and necromancy to survive as the centuries unfold, as well as having a cutthroat, 'means to an end' way of going about it.
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Asphodel has severe allergies to many plants and organic substances that cannot be cured by common medicine. They constantly need to take salves and remedies to adjust to new environments.
Mental characteristics
Personal history
Asphodel was born to the Sarcophaga people, to the Kannerenoz sect. Like many omen-fated children in their sect, they were castrated at birth and given the name Ammon. They were raised with the Entrail Caste, a low-ranking priest caste who work with the dead.
Education
Ammon reached the Acolytha rank in the Guilds of Realgar and was a well-performing student. They were honorably expelled when they failed a pre-initiation medical test, with the Archdruidess Mab deciding that they would not survive an initiation with Heavy Metal. In a notable display of grace, Mab contacted Alloces Volana and had them enrolled with the Koaneg Eskern Clockmakers.
Employment
They chose to be ordained under the name Asphodel, though they would not tell anyone why. They worked with the Guild of Justice as an executioner and gravekeeper, eventually becoming the Bishop of Eskern. Alloces-Volana would encourage Asphodel to dethrone the current Cardinal of Justice, thus sending them to Kaer Sidi.
Mental Trauma
Asphodel has a great fear of mortality- not of death, but of returning to the earth and their body decomposing into nothing. This terrifies them more than anything, making the illnesses and allergies they suffer with psychologically damaging. Ultimately this leads them down the path of the Wrakka.
Personality Characteristics
Motivation
They want to become the next Papess, but it is a question if they will survive long enough to do so.
