Koaneg Eskern Clockmakers
The Koaneg Eskern Clockmakers, often nicknamed 'Harvesters' rather than 'Reapers' like other Forest Clockmakers, are a subset of the Clockmakers guild who work in Koaneg Eskern. They are given certain privildeges and restrictions even beyond what the Forest Clockmakers are allowed.
Things they are allowed to do:
Admit non-humans into the guild (half-humans are permitted in Forest Guilds)
Practice Belenankos spellwork (restricted to certain spells)
Bless blood regardless of rank (usually only certain ranks or sects can do this)
Things they are not allowed to do:
Marry
Raise their own children (children are collectively raised)
Revenge kill
They are extremely suspicious of double walkers, as those in Koaneg Eskern have a much better grasp on the industrialization dreams of their forbearers. They are much more proficient with technology and quartz magic, and anyone who is stolen or kidnapped by a double walker is generally assassinated rather than rescued. This is due to the paranoia of more of their technological secrets or spellwork being revealed to the double walkers. Celibacy is encouraged but not enforced. It is a difficult balance for members to achieve, as they know they cannot at a fundamental level, trust one another. Affairs tend to be mission-based and seasonal, and if a member leaves the clergy they are killed instead of put on probation.
