Yig

Yig is a small island colony in the north of the Aristocracy. Known for mining magical crystals and its unique flora from the Wastes further north. There are some full blooded Orc settlements still located on the island the population outside the the colony itself which has what you would expect from a Aristocratic colony. In 1454 a raiding group from the mines raided a small town part of the colony, killing many of the people within the settlement. Promptly after a expedition was made to pursue the drow perpetrators that lead the attack. Few left after one of which is our artificer Gimble.

History

Founded in 1297CE. It started as a mining colony for magical crystals it started to grow into a decent settlement pretty quickly, the original settlers having massive issues skirmishing against the original orkish residents, building a wall around the mine and local village. Ballasta on it with guard towers to push off attack. Sadly these were useless from the inside when attacked from the underdark by Drow raiders.
