Mother Tree of the Owl King
The Mother Tree was the original home of Suleal and Zoural, brothers who were among the original fay. After discovering others like them, Suleal brought them back to the Mother Tree, intending to use it as a shelter for new fay. However, he was betrayed by Zoural, who wanted to rule over the new fay as a tyrant, and the tree was burned down.
Many fay were lost that day, but one of the survivors brought a seed from the Mother Tree to Suleal, who led his friends to a new land. There, they planted the seed, nurturing and protecting it, expanding their territory and guiding other new fay to it. It serves as the first and oldest of the seelie fay territories.
Defenses
Since the original was burned down by unseelie fay (led by Zoural), the Mother Tree has always had an honor guard standing watch to ensure such a fate never befalls it again. The actual territory of the Owl-King spreads for many miles beyond the Mother Tree, and this is patrolled by other members of the honor guard to give advance warning and drive away possible threats.
