Wysepka Loyalist Hideout
In the eastern part of Wysepka, close to the river itself, lies a seemingly normal, one story building. The house is inhabited by a lonely older lady, known as Pelagia to her neighbours, as well as her spry cat, who she just calls Bob. Truthfully though, Pelagia's home holds a secret, one few in the county know about.
The backwall in Pelagia's bedroom is in truth a secret passage. There is a hidden keyhole in the wall, which is nearly impossible to spot for someone unaware of it's existence. Pelagia has this key, and it has been her, and her families, duty to be keykeepers for this secret passage for nearly three centuries. See the passage leads to a secret hideout, constructed in the early 11th century by house Wierno. Eugenia, one of the leaders of the Wierno Loyalists, came to Pelagia around a year ago, he remembered that she had heard tales about a secret Wierno hideout in Wysepka, and she managed to track it down to Pelagia's home.
Once the passage is opened, a stairway is revealed, and as you pass down, a large, well fitted, hideout sprawls out before you. Here is a list of important attributes of the hideout:
- There are a total of three rooms in the hideout, their purposes are as follows: The first room upon entry is used as a gathering space, in one corner there is a training section, another has some seating, a third corner holds some basic storage area for weapons and other equipment, and finally in the middle of the room is a long table used for dining and gatherings. The room to the left of the gathering room is the kitchen area, here there is importantly a well, as well as a room cooled down and fitted for long-term storage of food and supplies. The right room is a sleeping hall, here there are around 8 proper beds layed out, as well as a desk for each, containing personal belongings.
- The floor is made of wooden planks, as is the roof. Along the walls there are beams made out of wood, but the walls themselves are smoothed stone.
- Noise does not carry over well from below to above, but a very perceptive individual might be able to make out loud noises from below.
- There is little light down here, but what light there is comes from lanters hanging from support beams by the walls.
- The hideout is not heated up by anything except natural insulation, in the winters it grows quite cold, though surivable without difficulty
A secret hidey hole sounds like a fun place for a thief to be.
