Wierno Loyalists
Background
With the fall of House Wierno, there were seemingly no family members left of the house, and it seemed that the story of House Wierno had come to an end. However, there were those who refused to surrender and give up on their ancestral lords. See, house Wierno, while not always perfect, had been pillars of older Rynkowskian ideals. They had always had a focus on honour. They proudly defended their lands from threats for centuries, and despite their challenges, they had always held tightly to their ideals. They were beloved, and respected among their subjects, even those that they once conquered, in the Pazerski family. When the house fell, as Castle Katrach was seized, most who displayed their loyalty were executed, a select few managed to escape though. Two knights, Eugenia and Jacek, who had been there in Castle Katrach on the day of the attack. They had both managed to escape by climbing down all the way down the pillar. These two knights managed to warn some soldiers in Wysepka, and they managed to make it out of there before the Sorcerer, Thurh, and their men came. These knights and the soldiers would go into hiding, building a camp in the caverns of the Zdray Mountains where they began to lick their wounds. During their escape, the Knights had spotted a figure who appeared out of nowhere outside the castle, and then fled into the forest-clad mountains. The knights believe this to be Mhjartiv Wierno, the younger brother to the late lady Patrycja Wierno. Because of this, they believed that Mhjartiv would soon come out of hiding, and declare war on the Sorcerer, and then the group would come to his aid, and overthrow the pretender. However, in 1301 AR, after around a year of hunting and foraging for food in, all the while trying to stay hidden and biding their time, a figure found them, though to their initial disappointment this was not Mhjartiv. No, the figure who came to them was a young lady by the name of Tamara, and she came with surprising news. She claimed to be the bastard daughter of the father of Lady Patrycja Wierno, Lord Katrach V, the lord before his daughter Patrycja. As such, she claimed to be the last remnant of the house of Wierno, and the rightful ruler of the County of Katrach. The group was split at this, as were the two knights. Eugenia was outraged at the idea that her role model and childhood hero, Katrach V, would have broken his vows of marriage and fathered a bastard, claiming this to be a smearing of his good name. She refused to acknowledge this Tamara as a true Wierno. There were others in the group who agreed with her stance, saying it was almost treachery to speak ill of their former lord like this, and that it broke the code of honour that the house of Wierno had held in such high regard. Meanwhile, Jacek, who had never really liked Katrach V thought this Tamara's story to be believable. He argued that she ought to lead them seeing as she was the last remnant of the house, and if she proved not to be, and Mhjartiv was still alive, then he would replace her as leader as his claim was more legitimate. Many of the soldiers, frustrated at all the waiting they had been doing agreed, and many wanted to spill the blood of their enemies, to get vengeance on those who had wronged them. In the end the group was split, fairly narrowly as well, but Jacek, the elder of Eugenia managed to convince the rest that as things were they needed a leader, and the story was not completely unfounded. It also helped that Tamara was an inspiring figure, though she didn't have the same code of honour that most Wiernos had, she certainly had their ferocity in combat. She was talented with a blade like no other, and she knew the land well. She told them that her mother had been a traveling doctor of sorts, and that she had as such been around most of the county. So it was decided, until Mhjartivs return, Tamara would lead them together with the knights Jacek and Eugenia. After Tamara's arrival things changed in the group. They stopped hiding and making sure they were not exposed, and instead started a guerrilla war against The Sorcerer. As time passed, it became clear that Tamara had a much better head for this kind of warfare, and so she began taking charge more and more. With this, their tactics became more brutal, and they began recruitment. Eventually Tamara even established a hideout inside Wysepka, as their operations began to be carried out in the shadows instead of in the battlefield. Membership
When the Soldiers and the knights escaped Wysepka in 1300 AR, there had been about 15 of them, but as of 1306 AR, there is a total of 60 members of the loyalists. Though out of these, excluding the knights and Tamara, only about 20 are well trained, while the others are mostly untrained new recruites. Most of the well trained are from before the fall, and older. Out of those 20, 15 are loyal to Eugenia, and are quite sceptical of Tamara and her tactics as well as lineage. They typically dont take orders from Tamara, unless Eugenia tells them to do so. These 15 do little work out in the field, they instead spend their time in their headquarters in the Zdray Mountains, or out searching for their lost Lord, Mhjartiv. They are the only ones putting any real effort into finding Mhjartiv. The rest of the men are fiercely loyal to Tamara, who they see as the rightful ruler of the lands, though most do acknowledge that if Mhjartiv returned, things would change. These men are oftentimes out in the fields, trying to damage the operations of Thurh and his men. They are much more spread out among the different hideouts of the Loyalists. Though they are not all poorly trained, there are often casualties among these less experienced men who follow Tamara. Their loyalty can be gleaned from the fact that they call Tamara, Lady Tamara. Conflict
As of 1306, Tamara and Jacek are currently arguing with Eugenia over whether or not they should make Tamara's lineage public. As of right now, only supporters and loyalists are aware of her lineage, though the rest of the county long ago learned that the group was led by a young lady, and those in favour of her call her "The Blade of Wierno", and those who do not support her call her "The Rat Lady", saying she runs like a rat everytime conflict is near. Tamara claims this will give hope to the people, and remind them of their true allegience. However, Eugenia argues that they should not reveal a bastard, even if she truly was one, it would smear the name, and it could cause problems down the line if Mhjartiv was to appear, something she still hopes will happen. Hideouts & Supporters
Since Tamara's arrival, the loyalists have created a couple more permanent hideouts, one in Wysepka, and one in a hilly area north of Niewierny Keep. However, they had established friendships and working relations with a few non-members who had sympathy for the cause, even if they did not wish to fight physically for it. Supporters as they are called by the loyalists. These can be found here and there across the county, and it's not uncommon to find a wounded loyalist hiding out in a cellar or attic in a shop or home in each settlement around the county. Here is a list of important supporters of the loyalists:

These can be found here and there across the county, and it's not uncommon to find a wounded loyalist hiding out in a cellar or attic in a shop or home in each settlement around the county. Here is a list of important supporters of the loyalists:
- Pelagia, the key keeper for the Wyespka hideouts secret door. She takes good care of the loyalists who use the hideout, providing them with food and other goods they need while there. She is also helping by looking for potential recruits by giving out random missions to people.
- Himek Saventhi, a priest/paladin of the morninglord who came to Katrach a few months ago. He seeks to free the slaves of Zaufalski keep's mines first, and has allies with the loyalists to achieve this. Many of the loyalists were sceptical to him at first because of his choice of diety, but they have begun to place more trust in him. He has served as a healer for many, and is a capable warrior who has helped in a number of battles.
- Fedor, steward of house Pazerski. Though none of the loyalists know that he is a supporter, Fedor has long despised the work of his masters, instead favouring the loyalists and their ideals. However, he has yet to risk revealing himself to the loyalists, and instead he does his best to work in their favour as a seemingly loyal member of house Pazerski, and of course, The Hidden Current.
