Tacitus Calost

The Storm Herald

Son of King Rahm Calost of Pruva and crown prince of the Goliath people, Tacitus is a feared and renowned warrior, with a known, avid hatred of humans. This hatred eventually lead to the prince taking some, like-minded, goliaths with him to join Zarian, Son of the Ascended and the Obsidian Council, to rid The Continent of the perceived 'monsters' of the Continent, being the humans of The Martian Empire and The Valkan Isles, as well as the yuan-ti of the Oshal desert. Now a general in the Obsidian Council, as well as the head of the military operations of the Council, Tacitus, partially due to wielding the Storm Herald, is considered a top threat in the world, second to Zarian himself.

Physical Description

Identifying Characteristics

Covered in scars and tattoos, Tacitus is the very image of a goliath warrior; brutal, yet skilled; rage filled, yet tactically competent. Wielding the Storm Herald greatsword, a giant blade, standing nearly as tall as Tacitus himself, and wearing the pelts and furs of many a fearsome creature, the goliath prince is an imposing figure that revels in bloodshed and combat, making him greatly feared by his enemies.

Personal history

Like his many forefathers, Tacitus was trained from birth to be the perfect warrior, and the perfect heir. He is immensely talented, to the point where, when he was old enough to challenge his father for the Storm Herald, he did so and even won, claiming the blade as his own. Being a general in the army of The Sahrian Union, Tacitus made many ventures to the war front, which, at the time, was The Golden Forest. There he befriended many of the elves, until, when he was once again sent to the front the day that it was burned by the Martian Empire. Losing many of his friends in this assault. Tacitus swore vengeance on the humans, but found his father's ways inadequate. He still loved his father, but loathed his passive response to the war crime, so, as the years went by, and Tacitus heard of Zarian, Son of the Ascended, he gathered like minded warriors and deserted the Union's army to join the demi-god.
