Session 86: Rising Tide

General Summary

After reviewing their options, the party decides to mount an voyage to the Copper Tower of Service. Almost one year ago, an expedition led by Captain Breque of the Royal Corps of Explorers disappeared while seeking the Copper Tower; the party hopes that their expedition will fare better.
As the adventurers are preparing to depart, a trade vessel from Haven arrives at the Lost Island. The ship only stops briefly to restore its stocks, but two passengers disembark on the island: Xiamhara and her companion, Nevin. The party is shocked to see their ally alive and apparently well - although somewhat transformed by her experience. Xiamhara greets her companions, but remains tight-lipped about her experience in the River of Souls. She takes some time to speak with Ruarcc, much to Nevin's displeasure. 
A few days later, the party sets out for the Copper Tower. Along they way, they put into port in the Holy Illuminated Exeter Empire, where Captain Morse and his crew, along with Xyphos, part ways with the group to gather information about the recent war with the Shapers of Flesh. The part sails on, eventually reaching the military outpost of Fort Olbia. They find the fort under attack by the Deep Masters. Using Vayetse's magic, they quickly close the distance to the seaside fort and join the battle. The party manages to strike the aberrant forces from behind, taking out their leadship and throwing the rest into disarray.
With the immediate threat taken care of, the party searches for survivors in the wreckage of the fort...
