Plasmoid
The Plasmoids of Aigusyl are one of the strangest and most enigmatic sapient species in the world—a race of amorphous, sentient beings composed of living ooze, whose existence defies conventional biology. Believed to have originated from aetheric fallout or forgotten alchemical experiments, Plasmoids are creatures of fluid form, endless adaptability, and boundless curiosity.
A typical Plasmoid appears as a vaguely humanoid silhouette formed from semi-transparent, gel-like matter. Their colors range from pale blue and iridescent green to vibrant amethyst or smoky black, often shifting subtly with mood or intention. Without bones or traditional organs, they move with surprising grace, flowing into tight spaces, molding themselves into tools, or altering their shape for utility or expression. Though they lack a face, their presence is expressive—some ripple with laughter, others darken in grief, their whole bodies a language of their own.
Despite their alien nature, Plasmoids are intelligent, empathetic, and often deeply philosophical. Many ponder their origins and the question of identity, seeing themselves as echoes of the Weave’s raw potential, unbound by rigid form or fate. They are naturally drawn to the arcane and the cosmic, frequently appearing in roles as sages, wanderers, or alchemical engineers. Their minds, like their bodies, are elastic and adaptive, making them excellent problem-solvers, though they can sometimes seem distracted by abstract or existential thoughts.
Because they are neither flesh nor Spirit, Plasmoids often walk unnoticed by planar threats and curses. Yet, they are not immune to loneliness. Many seek connection with other races and cultures, eager to learn and belong—despite often being misunderstood or feared. Those who take the time to know a Plasmoid often find a loyal companion with a fluid sense of humor and a heart (or equivalent) full of wonder.
