Amaranthine Anthology

1st of Sun's Swell, AE 721
Located in the Vridassan city of Grimacem, the Amaranthine Anthology is one in a series of similar libraries and research centers across the globe built in honor of Boltun, the deity of writing, storytelling, and oration. Sometimes known simply as The Amaranth, it was the third of seven Anthologies to be built, and was named for the pink-purple plants which inspired the color of the building.   Like the other Anthologies, in place of fees, the Amaranth asks that anyone who requests access to the archives for research bring a book or two as payment, be they rare, first edition literature or children's books to be donated to local schools.

Architecture

While many buildings throughout the Dusk Region are built with as large sections of glass to make use of what little natural light they receive, the Amaranth was built more in accordance with architectural styles typical of the star-facing side of the planet, which favor robust insulation and heat-retention. Due to the delicate nature of many of the materials which would be stored there, the designers were very conscious of anything which may risk leaking and causing damage to the archives. Six sun tunnels have been constructed to help light the upper floor, but the rest makes use of electrical lighting.
