Titans of the Air
The first Titans were created by Iestros Firstborn, God of the East and of Primordial Air. Drawn out of air and cloud, they were at first without form. Many of them never took a physical form and let their wills unwind into the great storms known as elder tempests, which rage across the dome to this day. Others did take material form, invariably a form with wings and often feathered skin, so that they could continue to ride the winds.
Most notable among the Titans of the Air, the Cloudsmiths were gargantuan figures with power over gravity itself. They were the creators of buoyant stone and, as such, the founders of the sky cities themselves. They also created a network which enabled rapid communication and transportation between the cities. Components of this system survive as sending stones and the most ancient of teleportation circles.
The majority of the air titans died in defence of their beloved sky cities, their airy forms little defence against the reality-shredding presence of the Colossi. The cloud Giants took up the Cloudsmiths' role as speakers and communicators, but lacked their technical foundations.
The last survivors of the air titans are the few remaining elder tempests and the great rocs, vast raptors with their wings wreathed in thunder. Five of the great rocs are thought to survive; three in the mountains of Yethera, three in the mountains of Caino and one in the volcanic highlands of Suto.
