Army of the Ragged Coast

The Army of the Ragged Coast is the collective name for the armed forces of the Kingdom of the Ragged Coast in the southern Darklands. Given the terrain and the importance of the sea, the Army consists mostly of infantry, hunters and naval forces, with very few cavalry. Originally a singular body, the modern army consists of several divisions.

The Home Brigades

The Home Brigades undertake the defence of the settlements and people of the Ragged Coast. Each brigade has a strength of between 60 and 200 fighters, plus auxiliary, logistical and support personnel.

The Ragged Hunt

The Hunt is responsible for control, containment and reclamation of the cursed lands, working with the Woodcutters and Orders of Purity to undo the work of the Dark Lords.

The High Guards

The Kingsblade and the Queensblade are the personal forces of the monarchs of the Ragged Coast, the Master of the Winds and the Storm Queen.

The Stormbreak

The regular army of the Kingdom, responsible for border defence and any aggressive actions deemed necessary by the Queen. The Stormbreak includes a brigade of swineriders, who are the only significant cavalry forces in the Army.

The Coastguard

The Coastguard is the naval force of the kingdom, operating numerous patrol vessels and a smaller number of warships.
