Perlieven Malting

A quiet, conflict-averse sorcerer from a small town in Hendecy, looking for a life far from the Duumvirate War. He uses his mild magic for a variety of ordinary tasks.

"Something's off about him"

His powers appeared when he was only ten years old. He inspired some fear and concern in his superstitious town, who were decently versed in stories of spooky magical kids, and Perlieven reveled in the attention. He pulled pranks, took on a sinister demeanor, and practiced his magic rigorously. His milquetoast take on "evil" came to a head when he threw a farmer 20 feet, causing him a mild injury.
After some initial fear, a few other children discovered that Perlieven runs out of power very quickly. They violently brought him down to his place and then some. His poise dissolved and he was a kid again. But while his occult acts stopped right away, the retribution continued for years.
In the present, Perlieven is quietly desperate to be perceived as compassionate and harmless. Not even he can tell whether his kind personality is genuine. Even as an adult, he likes to play characters that he isn't.
