Torment
The torments are the archdevils renowned within infernal lore; six archdevils who never whisper or tempt the mortals of Agora. They are sought after by those who seek vindication. The wronged cry out, the oppressed pray, and the downtrodden seek retribution. Their calls are always answered; once the condemned soul leaves its mortal form, it is claimed by the Torments. Once in their grasp the soul is passed around amongst these fiends, each toying with its emotions before deciding who shall keep it.
Each torment has a unique method of torture that is typically psychological. Bethor targets their guilt, Zarin plays with their need for recognition, Djuun taunts their inability to act. Each works to inflict the deepest despairs of their victims.
"Some may be resilient to one form of harrowing, maybe even more, but no man can survive all of them."

Knowledge of the Torments is unfortunately vague. Most of it is hearsay from tiefling ancestors and rough translations of devils and demons alike. A lot of research was performed by Zossar, which leads to most of it being lost. A recent expidition into Zossan wastelands found a series of broken masks and theatrical texts that appeared to represent the Torments. Recreations of both of have been attempted, and given a further understanding of who or what the Torments are.
