Hell

The birthplace of devilry and sin, Hell is a realm of brimstone and cruelty and home to demons and devils. The realm is more orderly than one might expect of the barbaric culture that its denizens espouse. A strict caste system is enforced upon the realm. One that every fiendish entity attempts to increase their prestige and demote, even outright slay, their competitors.

Geography

The Mouldering Pit is a funnel shape realm, like a large sinkhole or typhoon or red desolate landscape. The outer rim of the realm is the least dangerous precint of the plane. The terrain is comparable to the deserts of Ojad Dokk, though reddened and less hospitable. The closer one comes to the centre of the Hells, the more the land declines and exudes maddening arcanum. Only the most vile and twisted entities are adapted to Hell's centre. The devil socities have cartographed a spectrum that seperates the realm into nine "biomes", hence the land was named the Nine Hells.   To mark these territories, barriers were constructed to seperate each segment, and make them more identifiable. In order of outermost to central, the sectors of Hell are; Derach, Caida, Hundir, and Caer.

Climate

Like many things, the meteorology of the Hells is dependent on which section you find yourself in. The upper levels are often beset by sandstorm and scorching heat. The further one travels to the centre however, the the winds die and give way to vaccum of screams and sorrow, that drags the unfortunate down into the void below.
