Argor Horde
The siege and burning of the Silver Forest is known as the catalyst for a great many events in the early years of the Mortal Wars. This is in part due to the suddeness of Doxra's brutal attack, but also how long the siege seemed to press before the jungle was entirely destroyed. This slowed destruction is believed to be impart due to the sylvate's attempts to mount a defense against their attackers.
There are many theories as to how the Slyvate attempted to defend themselves. Some believe they pushed back with pure arcane force, other think they called on the powers of their home realm to counteract with dangerous archfey, and brutal therian armies. A small few believe the slow advance was due to Doxra attempting to preserve pieces of unique pieces of the jungle's magic and conduits.
However, the belief popularised in bard song and story are the tales of the Argor Horde. Treants carved by gnomish hands and given life by firbolg magics to serve as devout protectors of the slowly burning silver forest. These treants came in varying sizes and forms, from man sized golems with weapons carved into their hands to 15 foot tall hound-like beasts that would shield starborn and stomp out doxran oppressors.
There is not evidence of the Argor Horde's existence. Nothing remains of the Silver Forest but toppled stones and ashen ground. However, the legend is kept alive by those who submit pieces of wood suspiciously shaped like humanoid and beastial anatomy. All of these pieces have never been officially accepted as proof of the Argor Horde's existence, but they have fueled the stories of giant beasts of silver gleamed arbor, and soldiers of shimmering ligneous armour.
