This uninviting shop is two stories tall and has a sign shaped like a coffin above the front door. All of the window shutters are closed up tight, and a deathly silence surrounds the establishment.
Every window of Henrik’s shop is a latticework of iron fitted with squares of frosted glass and locked from the inside.
Background
Henrik van der Voort is a mediocre carpenter and a troubled, lonely man. His greatest skill is coffin-making, but because he profits from the deaths of others, no one desires his company.
Developments
After learning from Milivoj at
St. Andral's Orphanage that the bones from
St. Andral's Church were sold to Henrik, the party plans to confront the carpenter, but is sidetracked at the
Blinsky Toyshop.
While the party is separated,
Ireena goes by herself to the shop and confronts Henrik. The party catches up a short time later and Henrik confesses that one night several weeks ago, Ravna visited him and promised the carpenter “good business” in exchange for his help in stealing the bones. Since then, Henrik’s workshop has become the lair of a pack of vampire spawn—former outsiders from beyond the
Mists who were turned by Ravna.
The party successfully retrieves the bones, but could not stop the vampires heading toward the church.
