Godwin is the Lord of Ayleston. An immensely elderly man, some claim he fought against Gathion himself in his youth. More realistic scholars estimate that it was his grandfather, another Godwin Gryman. It is often joked that Godwin Gryman is in a competition with Galibron Seredir to see who can live the longest.
The sigil of his house displays a stallion, and it is sometimes said that to live so long Godwin must be powered by the heart of a stallion.
