Trial Forge

The Trial Forge is a venerated temple of worship in Waterdeep. It is both a place of meditation and training as warriors and athletes looking to increase their physical prowess populate the temple at any given time.

Purpose / Function

The temple serves as the primary place of worship for followers of Kord and will periodically hold contests of strength and offer training to those looking to compete in games held at the Field of Triumph.

Architecture

Steps leading up to giant, reddish, almost rusted-over doors; Atop the temple, a gargantuan statue of Kord depicted as a musclebound titan of a figure; The halls are eighty-five to one hundred feet tall, built from a thick, sturdy, reddish stone; The floor is a polished black marble with gold streaks through it that intersected into a central chamber with a raised dais, upon which shone with multicolored beams of light.
In front of the dais is a sand pit where warriors, monks, and martially-inclined people train in the art of warfare. Behind the dais is a flat stone surface for the purpose of meditation and reflection.
