Stonefathom Deep

Stonefathom Deep sits at the base of Elderpeak, a towering solitary mountain that looms over Miner’s Pass. The mine’s entrance is a weathered arch of reinforced stone, framed by rusted iron gates that now remain firmly sealed. Above the entrance, faded carvings depict miners at work, a testament to the mine’s former glory. Deep, craggy tunnels descend into darkness, their walls etched with veins of silver and remnants of Stormsilver, the rare, shimmering metal that once fueled the mine’s prosperity. Now, the exterior is overgrown with weeds, and the air around it feels heavy with the weight of abandonment.   For centuries, Stonefathom Deep was the lifeblood of Miner’s Pass, supplying the Citadel of the Dawn with Stormsilver, a magical metal vital to crafting their enchanted tools and signet rings. These devices powered the Citadel’s efforts to combat Aethertitans and other threats born of the Sundering. As the mine’s veins dwindled, so too did the Citadel’s interest, leaving the town and its once-great mine to fall into disrepair. Today, Stonefathom Deep stands as a sealed relic of the past, feared for the dangers lurking in its collapsed tunnels and whispered to still hold untapped veins of Stormsilver deep within.
