Lance Veilman
Officer Lance Veilman is one of two guards tasked with transporting the convict, Kiirni, to Dew Mill. He strives to handle things professionally and by the book, and often gets frustrated by Victor Thomson, who he believes chooses cruelty over doing the job respectfully.
Lance has an eye injury (suspected to be the remnants of a Mark of the Disfigured Man), which seems to cause him problems with focusing on the job at hand. He is very sensitive about it and is quick to defend his ability to do his job fine despite the injury. "What are you insinuating?" When stressed, the effects of the injury seem to get worse, causing him to need to take a break to fix the stress.
Whom He Knows
- Kiirni is is being escorted to Dew Mill to show the forward team the location of a secret tunnel, per an agreement she made. She has been very cooperative in this plan.
- Victor Thomson has worked with Kiirni to get info. He is unnecessarily cruel to the captive and overly manipulative with others. Lance does not like how Victor conducts himself on the job.
- The party has been a magnet for both legal trouble and dangerous conditions.
