Zalman

Zalman was a particularly bright and wise child, displaying intelligence far beyond his years. This came as no surprise, given that his uncle Eldric was a renowned mage. imagination with tales of magic and wonder. Enthralled by his uncle’s stories, Zalman persistently pleaded with his parents to allow him to study with Eldric. After much deliberation, they agreed to let him follow his dreams. At Markrands Mage School Zalman spent countless hours poring over tomes, charts, and scrolls, dissecting creatures, and transcribing ancient texts. Zalman excelled, impressing the professors advancing to learning real spells. He mastered spells like Burning Hands, Hold Portal, Mend, and Magic Missile, among others. Enticed by the promise of new adventures, he joined an entertainers' wagon traveling south. To pay his way, Zalman used his magical talents to perform tricks he had learned in the dormitories, such as the classic three cups and a vanishing ball game. The company of the entertainers were pleasant but he has grown restless, and is beginning to contemplate his next journey.
