TIA01 Level A

This is the highest level of the building, with the battlements of the NW tower extending further above the roofs.

Area 1

This is the battlement level to the northwest tower, and is thus situated directly above area 2 on the main map of level A. Note that the battlements overhang the walls by 2½' all round, thus making climbing down onto the tower roof from the walls extremely hazardous.   There is a trapdoor, and a pile of rubble.
Climbing down onto roof
Suzi roll Athletics with Climb Walls at Disadvantage DC15
1 turn
Despite all your attempts, the overhang and the slippery surface make it impossible to hold on, and you slowly realise you're losing grip. Suddenly you're falling down toward the sloping roof below. Take 1HP damage.   Incredibly, despite the overhang and the slippery surface making it almost impossible to hold on, you do manage to cling on, and stealthily work you're way down onto the sloping roof below.
Hang on after falling on to roof
Suzi roll Acrobatics DC5 (no climbing bonus)
1 turn
You desperately grab toward the apex of the roof, but you miss by only a hand length. Your feet desperately try to get a grip, but there is nothing. You continue to slide down and over the edge. You land with a thud in the muddy street below. You are heavily winded, but alive. Take 3HP of damage.   You desperately grab toward the apex of the roof, and only just manage to hold on. You hang there for a moment catching your breath. You're mildly winded, but eventually you get to your feet.   The roof slope is shallow, and you can easily traverse it. You have to keep your balance, so movement is halved. You are in Area 3.   The roof drop extends in the north-east corner (Level B Area 5) and along the southern edge (Level B Area 14).
Open the trapdoor
Suzi roll Athletics DC15
Each attempt takes 1 turn
The trapdoor is rusty and heavy, but you feel some movement.   Despite it being rusty and heavy, the trapdoor reluctantly creaks open. It reveals a hole leading to Area 2.

Area 2

This is the highest room of the NW tower. There is a hole in the floor and one in the ceiling. If trapdoor left open you can see the sky, if not then you cannot.
Climb up (only possible if trapdoor was left open)
Suzi roll Acrobatics DC10 (to jump up) and then Athletics with Climb Walls DC10 (to pull yourself up)
Each attempt takes 1 turn (both rolls must be successful together)
Your attempt to climb back up through the trapdoor has failed. You're getting tired, but you can try again.   You leap up and grab hold of the edge of the hold with your fingertips. With an almighty pull you get fingers up, then both hands, then manage to haul yourself up to your elbows. From there, it is easy, and you pull yourself up through the hole and roll onto the battlement floor, exhausted. (You are in Area 1)
Climb down
½ turn to Level B, Area 6
You drop down to the floor below with ease, landing stealthily and silently.

Area 3

This is the roof area above Level B. The roof slopes gently, so can be walked along safely, but you still have to be careful, so movement is halved. If you try running, you get full movement but must roll Acrobatics.
Try to navigate the roof tiles when running
Suzi roll for Acrobatics DC10
6 spaces per turn
You feel your feet giving way underneath you on the slippery roof tiles, but manage to fling yourself down and grab hold of the apex of the roof.   Despite feeling your feet giving way underneath you several times on the slippery roof tiles, you manage to stay upright, and reach the edge of the roof. What now?

Area 4

This set of battlements above the east tower do not overhang and can easily be negotiated if climbing the tower wall. There is a trapdoor.
Open the trapdoor
Suzi roll Athletics DC5
Each attempt takes a turn
The trapdoor handle slips from your grasp and clangs loudly back into place.   The trapdoor open easily. It reveals a hole leading to the floor below.
Climb down
½ turn to Level B, Area 13
You drop down to the floor below with ease, landing stealthily and silently.
