Personal history

Finn was born in the northern Kingdom of Frewen in the town of Evansfall, North Arlen. He was born to Alezar and Eline Alpheaus. Alezar was a well known and respected blacksmith in Evansfall and Eline was a talented seamstress. Finn grew up very close with his mother and father, respecting them both greatly. At age 5, Alezar began to teach Finn the basics of blacksmithing. 2 years later, his mother gave birth to Glen, a younger brother. Finn adored Glen and became somewhat of a personal bodyguard to him. They grew to become the most inseparable friends. Glen was very free-spirited and gained a deep love for the forest and for exploring. Everyday he would come home with new things that he had picked up and found in the woods, be it mushrooms, herbs, fogberries, twigs or rocks. 
One late autumn day, when Finn was 16 years old (Glen being 9), he and Glen went on a hike in the woods to hunt for fogberries (a dark purple berry that would emit a thick fog-like substance when ripe) and while trying to cross a fallen tree over the river, Glen slips and falls into the icy waters. In a panic, Finn tries to rescue Glen in any way he can think of. First a long branch for Glen to grab onto, but his fingers slip, then once again further down the river where his the branch snapped, causing Glen to be swept under by the rivers strong current. Finn spends the rest of the day trying to look for Glen but to no avail, he then goes home to give the tragic news to his parents that Glen is likely dead. The family grieves his loss and is only made even more tragic when Glen's body is found a week later miles down the North Arlen River. The family is traumatized and Finn blames himself for his death. Although his parents try to comfort him by saying it was nobody's fault, Finn is unable to forgive himself. In an attempt to try and deal with the guilt, he throws himself into his work as a blacksmith. 
A year later, Finn is still living with immense guilt and decides to move to Frewen City in order to join the The Frewen Guard. He passes and is enrolled into the Frewen Echelon Academy, a specialty military training school. At age 20, he graduates and is accepted into the Guard specializing in greatsword combat (a very large and menacing sword). 5 years later, while on a mission to help quell a small uprising in the slums, he is injured and is order to take a leave of absence to recover. During this time, Finn rethinks the direction of his life and decides to leave the Guard to become an odd-job Mercenary within the city to be a better help to others, and to be a defense to people like the ones in the slums. He meets Frith Reh'loa in a local tavern who offers a job to him to work at his Mercenary Outpost, The Takkan's Den. Finn accepts and the two begin working together.

Graduated with honors from the Echelon Military Academy in Frewen City, majoring in greatsword combat.

Employment

Previously was employed by Alezar the Blacksmith (his father), then a member of The Frewen Guard. He is now an odd-job mercenary working for Frith Reh'loa at The Takkan's Den in Frewen City.

Mental Trauma

Finn ultimately blames himself for his younger brothers death. He is haunted by it continually.
