Medvidev Family
Medvidev Family is historical ruling family of Siv in the Frost Plains region. They are the Great Jarl of Norveil and rulers of the Jarldom of Norveil. They are headquartered in Greystone Keep in Siv.

Founder
- Pen the Architect -- 872 - 944 -- Built the city of Siv as well as Greystone Keep after discovering the Black Slate Seat. Became the first Sivien Jarl in 904.
Sivien Jarls
- Hilt Medvidev -- 895 - 962 -- Son of Pen the Architect and husband to Egrit the Matron, Hilt became the second ever Sivien Jarl when his father died in 944. He was a devot follower of Jarism, constructed Halraven in 946, and spent most of his reign growing the religion in Siv.
- Hansh Medvidev -- 940 - 997 -- Sivien Jarl from 962 to 997.
- Aywil Medvidev -- 970 - 1034 -- Sivien Jarl from 997 to 1034.
- Velin Medvidev -- 994 - 1049 -- Sivien Jarl from 1034 to 1049.
- Helga I Medvidev -- 1021 - 1090 -- Sivien Jarl from 1049 to 1090. A fierce leader who made Sivien dominance in the Frost Plains clear, it is said that Helga did much to help clear the way for her daughter's rise to power as the first Great Jarl or Norveil.
Great Jarls of Norveil
- Jessic I Medvidev -- 1072 - 1138 -- In 1112 Jessic established the Great Jarl of Norveil and was first to hold the title of Great Jarl of Norveil. For the first years of her reign she battled with other northern families in a series of uprisings known as the Expansion Wars. The hostilities were ended after six years when the Jarl wedded Corin Smoke from Slate Sky in 1118.
- Rodgier I Medvidev -- 1119 - 1155 -- Reigned from 1138 to 1155. Rodgier was a young Great Jarl and his reign was plagued by small rebellions. Most of them were incidental affairs that were stopped without bloodshed, but some skirmishes broke out. That was until civil war broke out in 1153, called the Frost Rivers War. The Great Jarl spent the next two years at war until he died of a spear wound during the First Battle of Northflow River, afterward his body was stolen and beheaded, the head sent back to Siv while the body was kept and desecrated by sewing a raven carcass to his neck.
- Alshlyn I Medvidev -- 1133 - 1187 -- Reigned from 1155 to 1187. Alshlyn was 22 when her brother died in battle. Newly crowned, Great Jarl Alshlyn I found herself with a Jarldom thrown into chaos. She ended the Frost Rivers War soon after taking her crown by attacking the Kells and killing Ordin Kell with her dagger, gifted from her brother, during the Burning of Jardal Hall which left a large portion of the roof of Jardal Hall burned.
- Dethen Medvidev -- 1148 - 1225 -- Reigned from 1187 to 1225.
- Alshlyn II Medvidev -- 1225 - 1275 -- Reigned from 1225 to 1275. Faught and won the Battle of Raindance Wood against the Smoke Family and Colden One Hand.
- Evensvit Medvidev -- 1242 - 1283 -- Was known as the "Unworthy Jarl" by some, Evensvit was known to focus on his social life more than his duties throughout his life. From the time he was a boy his partying and lavish lifestyle was said to be a "distinct burden" on the Jarldom's coffers. Reigned from 1275 to 1283.
- Wodin "the Bastard" Medvidev -- 1260 - 1312 -- He was Great Jarl and besieged during the Sivien Civil War against the Kell and Smoke Families led by Rast the Turncloak. The siege ended in victory for the Great Jarl after reinforcments arrived and Jora Riversalt riding the golden dragon Rax killed Rast and his dragon, the green Alerint.
- Paligier the Younger -- 1289 - 1366 -- Third son of Wodin I, Paligier became his father's heir after his two older brothers Mykhail Medvidev and Fyoder Medvidev died during the Sivien Civil War. He reigned from 1312 to 1366.
- Maude II Medvidev -- 1307 - 1368 -- Took the crown in 1366 and was the last Great Jarl before Norveil fell to the Aldvire Empire. Rider of the blue dragon Bregara
Order of Maji
- Hrodgier Medvidev -- 946 - 1032 -- Fourth son of Jarl Hilt and third brother of Jarl Hansh. Hrodgier was a maji and lifelong professor at his namesake Hrodgier Academy built by his mother Egrit the Matron.
- Bridgett the Mouse -- 1024 - 1094 -- Daughter of Jarl Velin and younger sister of Helga I. Established the Bridgett Records Hall in 1043, it has since grown into the largest library in the north.

- Holten Medvidev -- ??? - 1241 -- Was the Lord Commander of the Grey Wind Company from 1206 to 1241.
- Eirlok Rock Biter -- ~1213 -- Creator of the Grey Wind Mercenaries' special unit Skole Crushers in 1213 after a skole raid, during which Eirlok wore a teal scarf into battle (a tradition that the Skole Crushers hold to this day) and earned his nickname "Rock Biter" and a name for his warhammer, "Skole Kisser".

Sivien Guard
The Sivien Guard is a group of highly trained knights charged with protecting the head of the Medvidev Family. The Guard is made up of high status knights and lesser family members not set to inherit anything. As well as guarding the Jarls and Great Jarls throughout history, they have also been a key fighting force in many battles over the years.

- Greystone Keep -- Ancestral home of the family and seat of power for the city of Siv and the Jarldom of Norveil. Is located on a rock island in the Northflow river north of the city.
- Darkfire -- Weapon of station for the family and the Great Jarls of Norveil. The Sivien Steel axe has been in the family since it was gifted in 1156 after the Frost Rivers War.
- Alshlyn's Dagger -- Ancestral dagger used by Alshlyn I Medvidev during the Burning of Jardal Hall. It has been giften amoungst the family for generations.
