Discovery
This technology is based off of the perfection of
Runic symbols in the early 1000's by Ezlekhian scholars just before the discovery of
Geomancy. These scholars spent hours on end precisely carving these symbols to create massive outputs of elemental energies, which eventually inspired using these in industrial settings to create electrolyzers, heating and cooling machines, fans, etc.
After the discovery of
Geomancy in late 1100's, reconstruction plates were slowly produced by Khudaldaans to replicate the effects of simple spells, and have since evolved into amplifying a variety of utility spells from abjuration spells for compression and protection of materials, to transmutation spells, to even evocation spells to create massive outputs of predictable elemental energies
Access/Availability
These reconstruction plates are solely used in industrial settings found in Reconstruction Factories in
Khudaldaa due to their extremely expensive production and upkeep costs, as well as the cost of the plate materials themselves.
Utility
Reconstruction plates, due to being based on runic and geomantic casting, have nearly limitless potential in-terms of applications. Primarily, these plates have been used to convert bulk import materials of one type to another type which can be exported using alchemy, though the technology could theoretically amplify the effect of any casted spell nearly 100 times over. Researched applications of the technology have spanned all different types of technology, from weapons, to travel, to even other industries such as mining and agriculture, though much of these tests have not yielded any products
Manufacturing
The exact production cycle of these plates is kept as a closely-guarded secret by
Khudaldaans of The Alchemical Order as to give themselves an advantage in the inevitable conflicts with Vomethnda. Due to the materials of these plates requiring to be well-tested mediums for magic, the plates themselves were originally created from the stones of old historical and worshipping sites due to their strong ties with magic. Nowadays, reconstruction plates can easily be recycled from existing plates or from the base materials of the reconstruction factories themselves
