Plainswalkers
A working class which can be found in nearly every town and city in Ezlekh. They have typically traveled across the specially-enchanted lands of Ezlekh for 10 or more years, knowing its ins and outs, which they use to protect and guide travelers through these lands.
Career
Qualifications
There are no specific requirements for becoming a Plainswalker, as the job is purely based on knowledge of their territory and having good wits about themselves. You will likely be able to tell an experienced Plainswalker from an inexperienced one due to their habits of preparation, such as bringing light amounts of tightly-packed gear for any emergency, and relying off of landmarks over maps.
Payment & Reimbursement
These Plainswalkers make quite the hefty sum from those that they guide around, with inexperienced Plainswalkers making about 1 Gold a day per person they escort, while experienced Plainswalkers can make hundreds of Gold per longer trip from wealthy nobles who are willing to pay upwards of 10 Gold a day per person. The wage of the Plainswalker can be easily negotiated, and commonly favors or common interests in travelling are payment enough for some of the more-passionate Plainswalkers.
Other Benefits
Experienced Plainswalkers get to travel every nook and cranny of Aekko and experience so many of the wonders of nature. They often enjoy free nights and meals at local inns, and in more dangerous territories, they may even be supplied with free/discounted Adventuring Gear. Most of these plains travellers are also able to take out hefty insurance sums on themselves from Bambai's Capita Möngönii (and other similar Ezlekhian banks) due to the dangers of their job. Commonly, these insurance sums can reach hundreds of Gold due to paying the families half of their current value.
Perception
Demographics
Around 20% of these Plainswalkers are also members of Tagnuul's Shuudanchid working class. The job's race demographics match those of the region as a whole.
