Southern Tandara Bush War
Savannah's Cry
In the heart of Stanna's endless plains, Where golden grasses wave and dance, A deadly war spreads like wild flames, Leaving scars with every lance. The sun beats down on warriors' brows, Their shadows long in twilight's grace, Amidst the cries and anguished vows, A silent prayer for a fleeting embrace. The drums of war, they thunder loud, Echoing through the barren land, A shroud of smoke, a dusty cloud, Marks the path of death's cruel hand. In the savannah, where life once thrived, Now lies the echo of despair, For in this war, none are revived, And peace seems but a distant prayer. The lion's roar, the eagle's flight, Now drown in cannon's ceaseless fight, For in this land of endless light, The dark of war endures so long. Brave hearts fall and heroes rise, Yet all are swallowed by the earth, In Stanna's fields, 'neath endless skies, The blood of war denies rebirth. The mothers weep, the children mourn, For fathers lost in battles' tide, In every heart, a pain reborn, In every soul, a void so wide. But from this strife, from endless night, A hope still burns, a yearning plea, That one day soon, the fields so bright, Will bask again in liberty. Till then, the savannah's cry is heard, A haunting wail on wind's soft breath, A plea for peace, a whispered word, In Stanna's dance of life and death -Willmer Geist, Pvt. Holy Army of Stanna, 1939
The Conflict
Prelude
While tensions between the Holy Kingdom of Stanna, Mahadrin, and the Republic of Nydonia had been running high for quite some time, they officially came to a head in 1937 when the Holy Kingdom of Stanna leveled a small disputed town on their border with Mahadrin. Mahadrin responded immediatly, declaring war and launching rockets indiscriminately into Stanni border towns and cities. Similar disregard for the laws of war continued as the war grew larger and larger for several years, neither side making significant headway.
The Engagement
Eventually, in 1939 a passenger plane owned by the Republic of Nydonia was shot down by the Stanni over the ocean as it was suspected of bringing supplies to Mahadrin. While Nydonia had supported Mahadrin indrectly throughout the way, this act of escalation prompted them to put boots on the ground. 600,000 Nydonian men were in the region in only a matter of weeks. The majority of fighting occurered on the svanahs of the area, starting mostly in Mahadrin and then slowly creeping back into Stanni territoy after the Nydonians joined in, thousands of early Nydonian tanks rolling across the espanses of dry grass.
Outcome
While the Stanni began the war with a much greater number of troops deployed, the combined might of Mahadrin and Nydonia along with the fairly new technology of tanks in massive numbers the Nydonians brought quickly leveled the playing field. Many more eyes were abruptly brought to rest on the events of the war after Mahadrin debuted the use of a small nuclear bomb, the PICB-X3 Firestar, sending countries all over the world into a frenzy over its never before seen destructive potential. Before the borders could begin to change too greatly, and also due to other political tensions rising elswhere in the world, a peace treaty was signed in 1941 at "Begotten Paradise" (an acient abandoned watering hole located very near the point at which all three involved nations' borders meet).

Mahadrin would not fully recover from the devastation suffered to their standing military for many years after the war.
Aftermath
In 1943 the Twelve Years War officially began (although some historians note the beginning of the Southern Tandara Bush War as the start), leading to the portion of the peace treart between the Holy Kingdom of Stanna and the Republic of Nydonia quickly begin thrown away, followed by that between the Stanni in only a year and a half after that. Soon, all three nations were at war once again, but this time much more intense and on many more fronts and most importantly, with the entire world as the stakes.
