Hunter's Howl

Let the call of the hunters ring through the night, let the howls of the hounds drive fear through our foes, and let it cower and break those we mark as prey.

The simple prayer, the Hunter's Howl

Effect

Basic Effects: A thunderous howl rings out through the air, with divine power, as it tears from the priests lungs. All creatures the priest deems as hostile must make a Sagacity Defensive Test. If they fail the test they take 2d8 psychic damage and gain the Frightened (1) Condition. Those that succeed still gain the condition, and take half the damage. If you have Mark of Prey upon a target and they are in the range of this, the mark is consumed, its effect ends, but they automatically fail the Defensive Test.

Side/Secondary Effects

Tier II Effects: Increase the damage to 4d8 psychic damage, and Frightened (2) Condition

Tier III Effects: Increase the damage to 6d8 psychic damage, and Frightened (3) Condition.

Manifestation

As you finish the small prayer, you take a deep breath, divine energy guiding you. As you throw your head back and howl, the sound that comes from your mouth echoes with a ferocity and animalistic fury you do not possess. The sound echoes and rings through the air, even causing those you are not seeking to utterly terrify to at least feel a twinge of fear for a brief moment.
