From the Ashes.....

Doitean, the force of fire and passion, wielding it long enough really taps deep into the core of who you are. The relationship is a hostile one to begin with. But by the end, the primordial force does not push you out of hate, but out of love. Though outwardly, to those around you, they may look the same, you, the magister, know the difference. You feel it in the heat, in the pulses and flow of the Ruby energy itself. That difference in emotion. From pushing your limits to resist you, to pushing them to see you rise. It is said, and very likely correctly so, that Ruby Magisters are the only ones whom ever earn the respect of the primordial forces they handle regularly.

Special Rule: This spell-form is a unique on in all aspects, and one of the most important distinctions is this is not one that can be used lightly. A Ruby Magister can only benefit from this spell-form 3 times in their lives, once of each rating of power, each one with higher risk, and higher difficulty. Unlike other spell-forms the Tiers of this one do not scale with level. They scale with times used. Once a magister has successfully brought themselves back three times with this spell-form, the Primordial force of Doitean will no longer allow this to occur, scrubbing the spell-form from their knowledge upon this third rebirth and replacing it with another that they had not previously known.

Effect

Basic Effects: In a moment of desperation, you draw in all the manna you can muster, putting your faith in the primordial forces of Flame and Fire, hoping your bond is strong enough as you allow the manna to consume you. As your body burns away, flames consuming all, roll either a Power, Agility or Intellect Defensive Test (You get to choose, but must choose before rolling. That choice is also limited, once you've used one, any future castings of this spell-form that option is not available to you.) against your own Caster TN. Should you fail, the ruby flames consume your body, leaving naught but a white pile of ashes and the spell ends.   Should you succeed, your body is consumed, leaving naught but a pile of white ashes. However when your turn would next come up in the initiative order (if no initiative order is currently being used, than it is a mere few seconds later) the ashes again burst into brilliant ruby flames, more intense than ever before. Within those flames a silhouette begins to form, and after a few seconds, (what would be the end of your turn) the flames begin to die down, as from within them you step forth, at half wounds, alive and well, rising like a phoenix from the ashes.

Side/Secondary Effects

Tier II Effects: You rise forth with 3/4 wounds.

Tier III Effects: You rise forth with Full Wounds.

Manifestation

As Meriel, old as she was now, in her mid sixties, watched the mob before her, lashing her to the center of a massive pyre, she had to work really hard to not break out laughing. As the flames of the pyre licked to life, Meriel leaned back, awaiting the embrace of the flames, and soon after, albiet temporarily, the cold embrace of death. "It is simply tragic," Meriel reminded herself many minutes later, as she felt the massive amount of Doitean all about her, even as she began to burn. "That no one ever seems to learn."
