Flames of Retribution

The crackling of the flames and the glow of embers as if upon and within the very skin. Sometimes it isn't just the eyes of a Ruby Magister. Sometimes it is their whole form, their whole body, and that is the extent of any warning you'll recieve.

Effect

Basic Effects: Weaving the tendrils of Doitean around yourself in way similar to Aethyric Armor, or Doitean's Cloak, you then instead infuse your very flesh, feeling the burning of the manna resisting, fighting, but unable to stop you. Barely contained within you, this dangerous trap awaits anyone fool enough to do you harm, for you feel the pressure of the manna wishing to escape, knowing you can guide it over distances great and small when inevitably your flesh is cut. You may be injured in the battle to come, perhaps gravely. But they'll pay for every drop of your blood with the burning of their own flesh.

Once under the effect of this spell form, roll 6d6+10. This number needs to be recorded and you need to keep track of it. This is how many points of damage you will mirror back onto those whom deal you damage for the duration. The damage they take is fire damage, as whenever you are injured, some of the manna you have trapped within your flesh is vented furiously, guided by your anger, passion and fury. Creatures whom take damage from this effect also gain the Ablaze Condition.

Firestorm: If a creature that would take damage from this spellform is already under the effects of the Ablaze condition, they must make a Toughness Defensive Test. Should they fail, they become permanently blind, their retina seared beyond useability, their eyes now non-functional barring magickal intervention.

Side/Secondary Effects

Tier II Effects: You roll 8d6+15 when you first cast the spell-form to establish your pool.

Tier III Effects: You roll 10d6+20 when you first cast the spell-form to establish your pool.

Manifestation

"Lassie, what the blazes do ye think yer doing. Them be Stone Joten, yer done fightin' at close range nae, leave that bloody business ta me and the knights. Why is yer skin cracklin? What the blazes do ye think yer doing!?" Durak roared at Meriel, watching her eyes light up, flickering with rage, and even the dwarf, whom normally could not see or feel such things, could feel the manna flow of Flames all around him, being drawn into this human whom he saw as family. She stared up at him, the fire in her eyes seeming...unquenchable in the face of the snarl on her lips, pistol and rapier in hand. Her intentions were clear as day, and obviously of the violent variety.

"Aye, uncle Durak. They are Stone Joten, I can see that plain as day. And one of them left our friend Morha a cripple from the waist down last night with a boulder thrown in the dark, unseen, like a coward. Well I can see them today, and maybe one of them will hit me. But when the beast does, it'll pay for every drop of my blood with a pound of its burnt flesh."
