Flame-Seer
Once one connects with Doitean, and masters it to the extent where they have earned the primordial's respect, sometimes, this connection will aid you with great knowledge and understanding.
Effect
Basic Effects: The weaving of Flame-Seer is a strange one indeed among the pyromantic arts. One would normally not associate foresight or higher understanding with the Ruby Order or the discipline of Pyromancy, and that, unlike a lot of the other stereotypes which annoy many a Ruby Magister, is a fair statement. But yet, there does exist a method of divining, of a sort, available to a Magister of the Ruby Order. First you will craft a bonfire by hand, using no magick at all. Whilst this may seem strange, it is an important part of the spell form in its own right, allowing the Ruby manna currents to flow towards you, pool around you, without expending them in any way at this time. Once the bonfire is nearly as tall as yourself, you will stride into it with some sort of object in hand, or a name being repeated upon your lips. The object might be a lock of hair, or a silver mug emblazoned with a particular king's heraldry. An earring of a lost lover, a street map of some far off city. Sitting cross legged amongst the flames, you focus, allowing the heat and emotion of Doitean to wash over you, pulsing through you, your emotions radiating outwards, growing and strengthening, allowing you to temporarily feel a far stronger raw emotional and primordial link to the place or creature whom's name you've been repeating. At the end of the casting time, over the 10 minute duration, you will be presented with two of the following bits of information of your choice based upon if the target is a creature or a location;
For a Creature:
For a location:
When targetting a creature it does get to attempt at Sagacity Defensive Test. If it succeeds, it is made aware of your observation, a brief flicker of flame, your Aethyric consciousness, flashing in their sight on the Material Realm for a few moments. The creature, at this moment, can actively choose to not allow the spell-form to function, can ignore it, in which case you only garner one piece of information, not two, or can actively still choose to purposely not resist, in which case the spell-form functions as normal. However this is no mere defense test against your flat Caster TN. Instead their roll is altered by the fates and the connection to the target that you possess. These alterations are from two factors shown in small tables below. Knowledge and Connection.
If you are targetting a creature that successfully makes its Defensive Test and chooses to flat out deny the spell-form, then it doesn't work at all, and you cannot attempt to target that creature with this spell-form for 24 hours.
For a Creature:
- A brief description of the creature's current location, mostly centered upon its five basic senses and the area directly around it, as well as a bit of the emotions this location is invoking if any are particularly strong.
- The target creature's current state of physical health.
- The general direction and rough distance from you to the target creature.
- A brief vision of a potential future outcome involving the creature.
For a location:
- A brief description of any highly visible current events/state of the location at current.
- A description of the general emotional energy balance in the location at this moment.
- A general direction and rough distance the location currently is from you
- A brief vision of a future event that may take place at said location.

Manifestation
Meriel moved ritualistically, almost as in a trance, holding tight between her teeth the rough hairs from her 'uncle' Durak's beard. Keeping her emotions in check, knowing that to give in to her passion and baser emotional instinct right now was to fail, she methodically went about the process. Ever so slowly, she stoked the small fire, using no magick, building it ever so carefully into a roaring bonfire almost twice her height. Taking the few hairs from her mouth, she gripped them tightly, staring at them as she let the flow of Doitean wash over her. Whispering Durak's full name over and over, she stepped into the fire, sitting down cross-legged, and inhaled deeply, letting the trance take her.
