Zhetvokhron (/ʒɛtvɒχrɒn/)

Dragon Speaker Zhetvokhron

Zhetvokhron, meaning "Void Affiliate", was Maelsium's Dragon Speaker starting from 2384 BFB. He pioneered the development of the Void Breathers and led their tactics under guidance from Maelsium. He is quite short for a raxarian, as he is one of few that don't even reach eight feet tall. This does not make him any less threatening however, as he is still an extremely powerful magic user and an intelligent strategist.   He was granted the role of Dragon Speaker after Maelsium acknowledged his remarkable efforts in destroying Krel'Outama's attackers. Being the first Void Breather, Zhetvokhron paved the way to many more and expanded their strengths.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

After taking the hit in Serezhi Manye, his back was quite severely injured as he was thrown against the stone wall. Thus, he is often seen hunched over. His vision is also not perfect, but it doesn't hinder his combat abilities that badly.

Identifying Characteristics

He, and other Void Breathers, have eyes glowing in the deep purples, reds, and blacks of the Void and is immediately noticeable.

Personal history

Zhetvokhron spent the first half of the War for Adremesis at the front lines. He was present for most of the major conflicts, such as the Battle for the Losyex Ølæm and the Purge of the Oske lia Islientha. He was a formidable foe, wielding Maelsium's magic very offensively and tending to get really stuck in to the heat of the fight. During all of this, he was still Kíliaotevarsin, but did become Vronazh-arl Varsin-is (Honourable Nameless) in 2408 after, along with some other raxarians, hunting and eradicating a relatively small group of Void Beasts that fled a battle.   Everything changed for Zhetvokhron after one crucial event, however. In 2402, during the first Battle for Serezhi Manye, Zhetvokhron was one of hundreds of raxarians sent to assist the defence. The onslaught was intense for both sides. Zhetvokhron and a group of roughly 80 others were separated from the main conflict, forced to fight on their own with everything they had to survive. At this point in the war, the Void Beasts had adapted significantly. They were able to utilise their own "magic" by manipulating some of their bodies into pure energy and directing it. It was costly for them, but undeniably effective. Zhetvokhron would take one of these attacks head on, taking the full brunt of what the Void Beasts could muster. He fell unconscious and was assumed dead by the rest of the group. His body was left behind and they proceeded further into Serezhi Manye, hoping to rendezvous with the main battalion. Zhetvokhron, however, was certainly not dead.   While his body took much of blow, stunting his back and partially blinding him, his soul was unscathed. Enriched, even. Souls are pure energy, the same energy the Void is made of, so it is possible for the soul to absorb the energy for itself. Normally, this would mean certain death for the soul; the Void would eat it alive from the inside out, killing it's body in the process in a slow and extremely painful experience. Zhetvokhron's soul did not succumb to the Void, though. Instead, it harnessed it. That isn't to say it didn't suffer consequences - his element faded and he could no longer interact with the Natural Flow. At this price, his soul gained immense strength, wielding both the Void and life in equilibrium. Every fibre of his being was infused with the Void, so much so that even his breath sparked with its energy.   When Zhetvokron regained consciousness about an hour later, he found himself alone in the same hallway as before, with the remnants of battle around him. In the distance, he could still hear the unmistakable sound of desperate fighting. Despite taking such a big hit, he found himself mostly unharmed, apart from his aching back and blurry vision. He also found himself revitalised and full of energy, but without thinking too much into it, he opted to just get straight back into the fight. He started to make his way deeper into Serezhi Manye just as his allies had before, following the sounds of roaring and magic. When he eventually reaches them, the situation is looking dire. A line of raxarians fending off a seemingly never ending slew of Void Beasts in the halls just before Elazireth's own chamber. Letting even a single Void Beast in there could be disastrous, so every raxarian is fighting with everything they've got to ensure the attackers don't proceed. Zhetvokhron needed to get back into the fray and now he was behind their lines, completely unknown to them. He was still unaware of what that Void strike had done to him, so he tried and failed to cast magic. He simply could no longer feel the Flow, but this did not deter him. He tried to brute force it and concentrated hard to attempt to reconnect to the Flow. In the process, he launched a bolt of the unmistakable purple and black energy into the fight, blowing a hole in the Void Beast's group and revealing him to the raxarian line. For a split second, there was confusion, since no one was really sure where it came from (even Zhetvokhron) but it couldn't last for long since the Void Beasts were still coming. Zhetvokhron re-joined the raxarian line and prepared to fight once more.   And fight he did. He was faster, stronger, better, and didn't feel exhaustion. He effortlessly tore through the Void Beasts and helped the line push back the onslaught, regaining ground very quickly. They were able to purge Serezhi Manye of Void Beasts with relatively few losses after a few more hours of fighting and were able to call it a raxarian victory. Zhetvokhron did not have much time to celebrate though, as he was apprehended by three Seekers; Eesemterorvinen, Zhikhonvenix, and Maljiti. They were present for the battle and noticed Zhetvokhron's suspicious magic during the fight. He was taken to a more secluded part of Serezhi Manye to be interrogated while the rest of the raxarians worked to clear up after the battle. He was questioned heavily about his abilities; what are they, how did he get them, and why do they represent the Void? Zhetvokhron answered honestly to each question - he simply has no idea. His memory of what happened before he was knocked out is foggy, so Zhikhonvenix left to find someone that was there when he was first struck. Coming back a short while later, his identity was confirmed and it became more clear about what happened. The raxarian described how Zhetvokhron was hit and how they assumed he was killed. Following this, Maljiti was unsure as to how Zhetvokhron was still alive; it didn't line up with their understanding of the Void. The Seekers agreed to have Zhetvokhron stay at Serezhi Manye while they figure out what to do with him. They weren't sure whether or not he was now committing heresy, or if they should brand him a rogue or exile. Eesemterorvinen, being Elazireth's Dragon Speaker, stayed with him in Serezhi Manye while Zhikhonvenix and Maljiti left to find guidance from Kærex on what to do with him.   Kærex was unsure himself, though he did not feel like Zhetvokhron was a threat to the raxarians. Considering he was always a good fighter and even got straight back into the fray despite suffering injuries, and the fact that he exclusively used his new strengths against the Void Beasts alone, Kærex dubbed him safe. He decided that Zhetvokhron can continue to fight alongside the raxarians as he has done for so long already, but he must remain supervised and should not be left alone. This is both for his safety but also for the safety of those he fights alongside. Maljiti returned to Serezhi Manye to explain to Zhetvokhron what the plan was and he agreed freely, but requested that he was pulled away from the front lines for at least a day or two so that he could figure out how to control his new magic, which the Seekers agreed he could do. Following this, Zhetvokhron was sent to Kærex so that he could practice in secluded safety. There, he re-learned magic and could harness it similarly as he could proper incantations.   Once he felt ready enough once more, he returned to the front lines just as before. He stunned many of his fellow raxarians as he was able to tear through Void Beasts without breaking a sweat. Skirmishes became shorter just because he was a part of them and Maelsium would notice after the second Battle for Serezhi Manye. This battle was pivotal in Krel'Outama's advances onto the Dragon Lords themselves and was also the battle with the second most loss of raxarian life. Zhetvokhron was once again standing side-by-side his fellow raxarians as they prepared for the onslaught. The Void Beasts were ferocious and ripped through the raxarian lines with ease, far swifter than they ever had before. They blew straight through the centre and were making a beeline towards Elazireth. Zhetvokhron broke away from the frontline and chased the Void Beasts deeper. They were picked off, piece by piece, but many were still getting through. Zhetvokhron caught up to them and fended many of them off, giving time for reinforcements to assist him. Among them, were the Seekers. They had all come to Serezhi Manye together to defend Elazireth in a final stand. Here, they could see first hand how strong Zhetvokhron had become. A retreat was sounded and every raxarian left in Serezhi Manye reconvened just ahead of the chambers. It was here that the most gruelling part of the fight happened, but it was also here that the fight ended. The raxarians were constantly pushed further and further back but they were still able to hold their own. The Void Beasts were finally stopped when heavy reinforcements from Udødliå arrived at last and helped sweep up what was left of them. After the conflict, Zhetvokhron (among a few others) were granted names.
