Volwrath (ˈvɒlraθ)

A terrible tragedy occurred in 339AFB where a rogue sorcerer acquired Bots from the Ancient Library and used him to cast very powerful spells to wreak havoc across Talbury. This series of attacks destroyed infrastructure and killed two soldiers, three civilians and wounded many more. The Talbrian watch was unable to apprehend the culprit so a then-Councilman Eaglad recommended calling upon Luxrin to deal with the threat. When Luxrin was successful it was decided that something had to protect Bots to ensure nothing like this could happen again.
Luxrin formed his Soul Spectre. Volwrath was born.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Volwrath being a Soul Spectre is mainly an ethereal construct, but Volwrath has a fair amount of physicality for a spectre, allowing him to be affected more by other physical objects. He has also not been damaged by any previous conflict so he is still in his prime.

Personal history

Formed from Luxrin's soul, Volwrath was immediately sealed inside the clasp locking up Bots. But at this time, Luxrin's soul was filled with underlying darkness, guilt and fury thus his spectre innately held those traits and mainly epitomised vengeance so Volwrath never was the guardian he was supposed to be.
Volwrath sought destruction and that is exactly what he did to Bots, he attempted to break free from the clasp and attack Bots, and after a few years of trying he finally broke loose into him. Volwrath slowly destroyed Bots from the inside. Bots' body (more specifically his pages) and his soul became more damaged as time went on. Bots was powerless to stop Volwrath and he had no way of seeking help whilst living in solitude in the library, so he was subjected unrelentingly to Volwrath's rage. Fortunately he never succumbed to the onslaught.
In 351 AFB, Xavier and Alric became the first people to release Volwrath from his vessel, and due to his destructive nature, he attacked the two but when Volwrath was majorly weakened by the two, Bots was able to expel Volwrath from his body and as the spectre no longer had a vessel, he finally perished.

Morality & Philosophy

Volwrath is comprised entirely of the darkness, guilt and rage of Luxrin's soul so his entire mind is based of very visceral emotions of Luxrin and thus is not balanced out by anything. This led to a being of unhindered retribution who will stop at nothing until all trace of the The Lord of Chaos is destroyed.

Volwrath was born upon Luxrin's hatred for the Lord of Chaos so while The Lord lives, Volwrath has not fulfilled his yearn for vengeance, and he will stop at nothing until he gets it.
