Book of the Sages (a.k.a. Bots)

Bots is the living form of the Book of the Sages, born after the book's completion in order to access its contents more easily. As his body does not biologically age, he is technically immortal providing nothing destroys his soul, despite this Bots is able to 'sleep' and spends most of his down time in this state.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

In 339 BFB, when Volwrath was sealed inside Bots' lock to defend him, Volwrath destroyed most of Bots' pages and damaged his soul causing him to forget most of the knowledge written inside him, he did survive, and on his journey around Adremesis with Xavier, Alric, Thaedrin Eaglad II and Droconos, he was able to restore the damage that had been done.

Bots is a hardback book whose cover has a few markings that resemble eyes and a mouth.

Personal history

Bots was created by Gabriel in 525 BFB and accompanied Gabriel throughout the last years of his life, teaching those in the early days of the Holy Order about his contents. He would later be passed around to descendants of the Ancient Sages and then to scholars in Barrodor. Eventually he was transferred to the now 'Ancient Library' which was a very famous place amongst the intellectuals of Adremesis though when the library fell into disrepair Bots was left abandoned for a while and he became very lonely.
He was later recovered but then eventually fell into evil hands and was exploited to grant someone impressive magical ability which was used to terrorise Talbury. A nearby Sage Luxrin was eventually called to help apprehend the culprit and retrieve Bots. Having realised that his son Xavier would later need Bots to help defeat The Lord of Chaos. Knowing that he can't risk Bots to go missing again, Luxrin consulted him and placed a lock on him and sealed a spectre, Volwrath, inside and placed him inside the Ancient Library for protection. This would backfire as Volwrath turned against bots and started to attack his soul and pages, causing Bots to lose most of the knowledge written inside him.
Bots' journey with Xavier and the others would prove to restore all that was once lost inside him.

Bots' purpose is to be the largest bank of knowledge on Adremesis and he thoroughly enjoys teaching others what he knows. He wants to teach everyone he meets everything he knows about Adremesis.

Bots is surprisingly charming, and those that can look past the initial horror of a living book usually grow to enjoy Bots' company.

Speech

Bots' speech consists entirely of rhymes. he will speak in rhyming couplets of simple sentences or rhyme his more complex ones with each clause inside it.
