Doorway to the Void

Effect

This aptly named spell is able to materialise a large doorway which subsequently opens and pierces the metaphysical boundary between Adremesis and the Void allowing passage from one to the other. The doorway will eventually dematerialise as the energy surrounding it starts to disperse. The size of the doorway depends on the amount of energy the user managed to channel when casting it .

Side/Secondary Effects

If the spell is being cast using the ancient magic system, then insufficient energy cast through the channel will cause the spell to backfire, and the remaining energy required to cast it would be sapped out of the user and no effect would incur. In both magic systems though, the spell requires an immense amount of energy, and a lone caster my struggle to channel so much and feel drained after casting it.
Slightly incorrect casting may cause the doorway to never dematerialise as the energy is trapped inside it. An example of this is at the gates of Asceroth, where the original gates to the kingdom have been replaced by the doorway the Ancient Sages cast in their battle with the The Lord of Chaos.

Manifestation

The doorway that is materialised has very intricate engravings on both doors and have a line of symmetry down the middle. The markings seem to be otherworldly and no meaning has ever been deciphered from them. The doors open slowly once they have completely manifested, but not onto the landscape behind them, they open to reveal the Void.

Like all spells, the energy from the natural flow is harnessed around you and then channelled in a specific way to cast the spell. Unlike most spells, this one requires multiple elements to be channelled at once, making it one of the most difficult spells to successfully cast, almost requiring superhuman talent to complete.

Discovery

The Dragon Lords would originally use the spell to exile Raxarians, and documentations through murals and the The Tanyel Logs gave enough insight for Humans to start deciphering it. The first human to successfully cast it was the Ancient Sage Ifris of the Knives who used all 7 souls of the Sages as a method to channel enough energy to cast it, Though the cast was imperfect and lead to a permanent doorway and the Lord being ensnared inside it.

Applied Restriction

If there is insufficient space for the doorway to fully manifest, then it will dematerialise and the spell will fail.  Akin to all spells, the Natural Flow must be present in order to channel the energy and elements, it's absence will lead to absolutely no effect.
