The Tower of Memory

The Tower of Memory is a ruined structure on Suza commemorating a dwarven king of the ancient world.

Purpose / Function

This tower was constructed as a massive monument to honour an unknown dwarven king. The tower was built of imported black marble. It was 150 ft high and 200 ft. square at the base. It had three levels, each smaller at the base than the one below. It had an interior space which appear to have been used for rituals and sacrifices. Images of the king's deeds along with favored people adorned the walls. Writing also covered the floors and roof, proclaiming the king's great deeds.

Alterations

At some point the building was defaced. Any mention of the name of the king who built it or the specifics of his deeds were destroyed. Likewise every image of him was destroyed. Since becoming a ruin the building has been used for a variety of purposes. Much of the black marble and other precious stones have been removed to be used on other nearby buildings. The remains were used as an improvised temple during the time of the Imperium. By modern times the structure has been placed under the protection of the viscount of Suza.
