Lorenza de Verloa is one of Aurelia Belaroth's ladies in waiting, and by all accounts her best friend and confidant. She hails from a a minor noble house with holdings just north of Cunaris.

Lorenza's mother is baroness of Verola, a castle town about a half day journey north of Cunaris. Lorenza was sent to Cunaris at a young age. The offer to foster Lorenza at Cunaris was a reward for the baroness' loyal service in the early years of the Union War. 
Aurelia and Lorenza became fast friends. They bonded over their shared love of horses, astronomy and music.
