Captain-General Taurus
Captain-General Taurus was once an adventurer turned mercenary commander. He is one of the most experienced soldiers in all The "Free Cities". He played a major part in the events which led to the outbreak of the Union War. Once the war began he aligned himself with the The Alliance forces for somewhat murky reasons. He helped negotiate Evonian aid for the Alliance.
Although an elf Taurus gained great acclaim for his effort on behalf of the struggeling Alliance in the early years of the war. When the Alliance finally agreed to appoint a supreme commander Taurus was appointed. Both because of his obvious skill and popularity, but also because he held no lands of his own within the Cities, and thus had little chance of consolidating his own power once the conflict was over.
