Archbishop of the Church of Three Divines
The Archbishop of the Church of Three Divines, otherwise known simply as the Archbishop, is the head of the Three Divines Church. Due to the Vel Tuturi Church's constant hunting of all members of the Church of Three Divines, their Archbishop is in almost constant hiding.
Qualifications
The Archbishop is appointed from the pool of Bishops. Often their appointment is done by vote of the various Priests and Priestesses.
Requirements
According to those who are willing to speak about the Archbishop, the main requirements are:
- A genuine dedication to safety of the church and its members
- Having interacted with one of the three deities (Technically, this is a requirement for becoming a Bishop)
- A certain number of years as a Bishop (Some sources say ten years, some say five, and some won't say)
- A majority vote of the Priests and Priestesses
Appointment
The Priests and Priestesses hold a vote. The votes are counted by the Bishops. Whoever has the most votes (and meets the other requirements) will become the next Archbishop. In the event of a tie, there is another vote.
When the Archbishop is appointed, it's said to be done in a secret place. However, those who have been lucky enough to attend say it is a grand ceremony. They say that the newly-appointed Archbishop is dressed in newly-stitched Archbishop's robes (each robe is custom-tailored for each Archbishop), and that the Bishops and High Priests/High Priestesses in attendance also wear their ceremonial robes. Some say the ceremony starts at dusk and goes until morning, others say it only goes for a few hours.

Duties
The Archbishop's primary duty is the protection of the church as a whole. They often are the ones who send out warnings about massive Vel Tuturi movements, and will tell the church members about safe places to hide.
Accoutrements & Equipment
Like the Bishops and High Priests/Priestesses, the Archbishop gets a ceremonial robe. However, only the Archbishop gets a custom-tailored robe. These robes are typically stitched to the Archbishop's desired patterning, by a High Priest or High Priestess.
