The Elder Ones

The elder ones are ageless beings who came before the current age, also known as the Aetherals. They represent the great failure of Existence's attempts to halt The Hunger.
There resides two pantheons: the First and the Second.
The first pantheon tells of the Beacons of The Dawn of the Dragon, those beings that attempted to halt the coming rupture in reality that the great dragon war brought.
The second pantheon tells of A splintered world that came after the Dragons ruptured reality. Here beacons foretold took their first attempt at halting The Hunger. A task that could not be done, but two forces could be put in place.
The All Father took up guardianship over the rips in reality, while Azathoth consumed the wild damaged reality. The beacons of old took to The Dreamlands in search of peace, so that other may eventually help with The Great Struggle.
