Typhon

Typhon, known as the Warden of Chaos, Ruler of Limbo, the Trickster, and many other names throughout Aasha is a god-like entity in charge of keeping the Old Gods' prison in his realm of Limbo. While not necessarily evil, his chaotic nature and powers have brought about the fortune and misfortune of varying degrees to the mortals with whom he interacts.
Those who have met him say he commonly looks like a handsome male with dark, hair, and eyes dressed in a black suit. Although other stories describe Typhon appearing as an animal, a poltergeist in a dream, or even as a beautiful woman.
No one knows much about the History of Typhon as he is not typically worshiped in Aasha. Typhon himself does not like formal or organized religions and to establish a church for his own worship would be anathema to his own ideals. He is, however, greatly revered by pirates, thieves, and gamblers. He is also the de facto patron of any activity that involves luck or chaos.

War of Ascension and the Creation of Limbo

Typhon was among the Old Gods before the War of Ascension desperately trying to carve a little realm of creation out for himself. Spited and frustrated by the Old Gods, Typhon sided with the more benevolent Eight (see Deities of Aasha ). Typhon, during the war, created many "Heralds of Chaos" that would do his bidding and sow discord among the forces of the Old Gods.
When it was clear that the Eight would be victorious in the war, they convinced Typhon to make a deal (the only deal he claims to have ever made, and the only one he is compelled to honor). The Eight agreed to combine their powers and create a realm in the multiverse for Typhon to rule as his own. In return, the Old Gods would be imprisoned there, and Typhon would serve as their warden.
Typhon named this realm Limbo, and at the conclusion of the war. One by one, the Old Gods were imprisoned there. Typhon shaped Limbo in his own image - a menagerie of pure chaos - where the laws of nature, magic, and divinity were applied at random.
