The Mortal Races

Summary

It is said that in the beginning, after creation was done and the universe organized, that the Creator created the mortal races and embed in each of them a part of the Creator:

"...To the Elves, the Creator gave His grace and beauty and charged them to preserve Aasha's purity and beauty.
To the Dwarves, the Creator gave His endurance and patience and tasked them to protect Aasha from harm.
To the Gnomes, the Creator gave His intelligence and charged them to teach mortals the mysteries of the universe.
To the Halflings, the Creator gave His empathy and charged them to teach mortals to love.
To the Dragons, the Creator gave His wisdom and charged them to keep mortals on the path of righteousness.
And when He was done, the Creator looked upon all that He had done and was not yet satisfied. And so, the Creator made Humans and gave them curiosity and the power to change, and He charged them to always do what is right..."
