Lake Necrumere

A wide arc of icy blue water, the frigid waters of this high mountain lake holds dark secrets of eons long past.

Lake Necrumere lies high in the northern Dragon's Teeth mountain ring. The lake feeds the majority of the fresh water that flows through The Great Caldera, and is itself fed by meltwater from the surrounding snow capped mountains.
The lake has an extreme thermocline, where the water temperature drops dramatically below a couple of meters from the surface. Hypothermia is a severe risk even in the hottest summer days.
