The Vanheims

The biggest and most loosely ruled of the gods clans. Unlike the Bölingar or the Utgaalar whom are ruled by their two kings the Vanheims rule themselves. And only call Njord their king because they once chose him to be their voice at the great moot of the gods. Those whom worship the Vanheims believe that nature and its power shall out last the powers of order and chaos.
The Vanheims count to their numbers this 6 gods and 4 goddesses.

Mimer

The creator. God of dreams and the blessed dead. Some say he is the one true god and that all the world is his body and spirit. Mimer is often depicted as a giant whit four massive elk horns, a lions mane and tail.

The Children of Mimer

As the god of creation one could say that all are indirectly his children. But many of the highest gods are always counted as his children. As they where given life by him directly. They are:
Bölverk, the first born of all the gods.
Bertha, first born of all the goddesses.
Angrboda, the dark daughter.
Njord, the son of the sea.
and Grimdal, the son of fire.

Zul and Lun

The Sun and Moon. A pair of mighty birds forever hunting one another out of love. He, Zul, is the golden hawk of the sun. She, Lun, is the silver owl of the moon. Ever do they hunt one another over the sky hoping to one day unite.

Tho they ever hunt one another, they have at times been together and from those unions the stars are born unto the nights sky.

Njord

The god of the sea. Chieftain of the Vanheims tribe and father to many gods and demigods. Once the first husband of Bertha and now the husband of Asplöv. Njord is a just but fickle lord of the sea, he is said to give whit one hand even as he takes away whit the other.

The Children of Njord

Whit Bertha he had two twin children, which they named Vanadisen and Digerlem. When Bölverk stole Bertha from Njord, she could only keep one of the twins and chose to take Vanadisen whit her.
Whit his second wife Asplöv he has one daughter, the goddess Gefjon, and 13 sons. The sons are the keepers of all the oceans, rivers, lakes and other waters of the world.

Grimdal

The mountain god. Creator of metal and stone work as well as one of the fathers of the dwarfs.(More coming soon)

Only the first dwarfs are his sons. As he formed their bodys. But it was Digerlem that gave them life.

Vananidr

The god of the wilds. God of wild bests and places as well as the hunt.(More coming soon)

The god of abundance. The blesser of the harvest and the second father of the dwarfs.(More coming soon)

The first dwarfs are his only children. He kissed life in to the bodys that Grimdal hade shaped of iron.
